The year is coming to an end and If you have the same wanderlust soul as I do then you’re already thinking about where would you like to go in the new year!

It’s hard to decide because there’re just so many places to discover in this amazing world but I want to share with you some destinations that I’ve recently traveled to that I must say they’re pretty cool and besides that… super affordable!

  • Cape Town

On top of my favorite cities now, Cape Town is just awesome! You can find anything here from Safaris, amazing beach-side landscapes, swimming with sharks to mind-blowing wine tasting, super yummy food and so many things that will make you want to go back again and again.

It was my first time in South Africa and it really impressed me. In my upcoming posts I’ll write a Cape Town travel guide for you but right now let me highlight how great it is and how it should be on top of your bucket list for 2018.

With plenty of activities and things to do Cape Town is an adventure that won’t cost you that much, $50 a day in expenses could easily be enough depending on your accommodation but even if you want to stay in a more luxury place is not going to be as expensive as other cities.

  • Lisboa

An amazing European city and the capital of Portugal, Lisbon or Lisboa (in Portuguese) is a beautiful destination that won’t disappoint you.

I always thought that I would visit Portugal one day but it wasn’t on top of my list…. Now I wonder why I waited for so long! Gorgeous design and architecture all over Lisboa, perfect rooftops to admire the sunset, the best pastries in every corner, the green wine and the ginhinha, the castles and its vibe make it a wonderful place to visit.

Besides being a lovely city Lisboa is also very affordable compared to other places in Europe, I think around $80 (or sometimes less) a day could be enough.

So what are you waiting for to hop on a tram and explore the city!

  • Cuba

If in 2018 you want to experience some Latino flavor and see a place that could make you feel like going back in time then you should go to Cuba. It’s a charming destination and one that should be explored as soon as you can because even tho is already a little touristy it’s becoming more and more  every year.

Its cobblestone streets, old cars, music and happy people everywhere will make you love this country. Not only La Havana but so many other places to experience Cuba, you can wander in a stunning beach, a fairy Tale town, the country side while horseback riding, drink mojitos, dance salsa… And I can keep telling you more reasons why you should add it to your bucket list.

Cuba is not expensive at all, your budget could be around $50 or even less a day and there’re a lot of places to stay with really good prices, check my complete travel guide here where I share everything you need to know!

  • Thailand

What an awesome destination to explore from north to south. Thailand is impressive and makes you want to stay longer than you were planning. From Temples, amazing culture, beautiful nature to some of the most spectacular islands in the world!

Besides what I just mentioned, its unbelievable prices also make Thailand a really popular destination between travelers and I think 2018 is the year to finally tick off your bucket list.

Accommodation and mouthwatering food is crazy cheap, you can have a budget of $30 a day and that could be enough. Remember it all depends on where you want to stay. I made a travel guide for Bangkok that you can find very helpful and a travel guide for Phi Phi and Koh Tao.

Thailand is huge and since it’s so affordable you should try to go to the north and south part because they are very different but equally amazing!

  • Chefchaouen

My favorite city in Morocco so far, the blue city of Chefchaouen is perfect for having a taste of the Moroccan culture. It’s gaining a lot of fame lately so I think 2018 should be the year that you get to explore it without many tourists and without becoming so popular because sometimes that adds something special to a place.

Chefchaouen is a small town full of super nice people that will make your stay even better not to mention that everything is painted in blue and makes it so different than other places you have been before. I made a complete travel guide for you a few weeks back where I share everything you need to know before going to this lovely place.

If you are in Morocco don’t think twice about going to the blue pearl, Marrakesh might be more popular but it can’t compare with the beautiful city of Chefchaouen!

I hope you have a wonderful 2018 full of travels and happiness and that this post inspire you to explore some of these cities that I promise you they are amazing! Let me know if you go to any of them in the comments below, I would love to know!

Happy adventures 😀
